Free Fishing Day is the perfect opportunity to introduce a friend or family member to fishing since no license or trout stamp are required. Trout and giant channel catfish have been freshly stocked, and panfish, walleye, landlocked salmon, pike and a variety of other fish species can be found in waters throughout the state. Get outdoors and enjoy the fishing that New Jersey has to offer!
All other regulations including size and daily catch limits remain in effect on Free Fishing Day.
