For the fall stocking program this year, Quinebaug Valley Hatchery was responsible for stocking all the lakes, ponds and waterways. On Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, alone, they stocked 4,000 fish in the following water bodies: 1,000 rainbow trout in the Naugatuck River; 600 rainbow trout in Pequabuck River, which is a Trout Management Area; 800 rainbow trout into Blackberry River, a Class 3 Wild Trout Management Area; 300 rainbow trout and 300 brook trout into Highland Lake, a Trout Management Lake; 500 rainbow trout into Tyler Pond; and 500 brook trout into Woodstock’s Black Pond.
