Bay City’s Fish Fry roundup, all these stops are a great catch - MLive.com

fish.indah.link

BAY CITY, MI-It’s obvious that Michigan loves its fish fry, and Bay City just might like fish fry most of all.

“The Catholic part of Bay City is where you’ll find the Lenten fish fry,” Don Krzysiak said. He owns the popular Bay City restaurant Krzysiak’s House, which serves both fried cod and perch year round. He said that “It’s not just during Lent,” however. In Bay City, “it is almost every Friday night. It is symbolic of our town. It seems like everyone is asking where are we going for fish? From your favorite restaurant, like Krzysiak’s to the Knights of Columbus fish fry at a hall in every town, there are lots of people getting together for a great meal.”

This year, things might be a bit different, without the large, crowded gatherings that usually accompany a local fish fry. Many places have switched to a take-out model, while restaurants might be offering both take-out fish fry, and limited seating inside to enjoy it. One thing that hasn’t changed is Bay City’s love for a really great fish fry.
