"Fishing With First Responders" will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Morrison Park on Lily Lake, 231 Rand Road in Lakemoor.
The community event is sponsored by the village and River East Public Library and is open to all ages. Fishing poles and bait will be provided, and no fishing license is needed.
Representatives from Lakemoor police and public works departments and McHenry and Wauconda Township fire protection districts will be on hand to teach kids to fish.
